Ecological development programs begin in 3 municipalitiess

Tulum, Bacalar and Carrillo Puerto began with the integration of their local ecological development programs (POEL), urban growth regulations, which will allow them to have sustainable planning by 2019.
Currently in Tulum, the coastal zone is regulated through the POEL while the population center has an Urban Development Plan, the rest of the municipality does not have planning instruments. They plan to have a general regulation for the municipality this year.
In Playa del Carmen, Isla Mujeres and Cancun, where there is an ecological order, the state authority works with local administrations to update them.
