He explained that the winners, in categories ranging from hotels, tours, airlines, GDS or reservation systems to parks, cruise lines and more, are chosen by readers of the magazine “Travel Weekly”, specializing in travel and tourism, and evaluated under criteria such as quality of services, innovation in experiences and infrastructure.
The award was received by Darío Flota Ocampo, general director of the Tourist Promotion Council of Quintana Roo.
