Take advantage of the opportunities of the Maya road
The Mayan bike path that will run parallel to the Mayan train will bring enormous benefits to local communities. To begin with, it is expected that in the integral design of the project special emphasis will be placed on the environment of the 15 stations. From them each city will have to take the opportunity to rethink their respective models of road and urban planning.
With the train and the Mayan cycleway, service will arrive to the communities through which it passes, although there is no station. It is planned to take advantage of the construction of the road to, in some sections, bury the electricity lines, put fiber optic cable and where it is required to carry water and drainage. All that is mentioned is already contemplated in the preliminary project that the people in charge of the train have shared with the public.
Major benefits
This project will bring huge connectivity benefits that will reduce the use of individual vehicles and the generation of greenhouse gases, will reduce the number of projectiles that move through the jungle preventing road accidents. When the cycle path network begins to expand with the effort of the states and municipalities, through a studied model of mobility we can redesign the road and thus avoid or reduce traffic problems that we already suffer.
